Why You Need to Monitor your Child’s Dental Health from a Young Age

The Child Dental Benefit Scheme (CDBS) helps your child receive necessary dental care from a young age. At Studfield Dental, we give you a holistic view of your child’s dental health .Beyond dental alignment and oral hygiene, our approach to children’s dental health is to ensure that your child’s overall health improves. Common health benefits include improved breathing, more relaxed face and oral muscles and improved facial development.

Free Orthodontic Consultations

As a leader in family dental care, Studfield Dental Group is proud to offer free orthodontic consultations to help determine the right solution for your child’s dental care needs. Some of the orthodontic solutions that we offer include:

Conventional Braces

Conventional braces use bonded/cemented brackets and flexible wires (which are held by bands) to exert pressure and gently move your teeth into their correct position. Regular 4-8 week appointments are required to change the bands. Conventional braces may take 12-24 months to work and require the removable retainer to be worn for a period of time after they are removed.

Damon System Braces

Damon System braces are a great alternative to conventional braces. They are discreet fitting and result in greater patient comfort. Available in mental and clear brackets that attach to your teeth, they can be used by both children and adults.

STb Social 6 Lingual Braces

STb Social 6 are great for people who want to improve the aesthetic of their smile without wearing noticeable conventional braces. STb Social 6 are invisible to other people and treatment is usually completed within 16 weeks.

Ask your Dentist about Clear Correct

Clear correct are your invisible alternative to braces. Treatment requires patients to wear a series of clear aligners, which are replaced every 2 weeks. Treatment time is shorter than most other orthodontic treatments. Contact us today to find out more about clear correct prices.

No Brace Approach

The No Brace approach involves wearing functional removable or bonded orthopaedic appliances. These appliances correct jaw mal-alignment and crowded teeth. No Brace is subject to the patient’s age and degree of mal-occlusion and crowding.

Child Dental Benefit Scheme

With the CDBS, children between the age of 2-17 years old are eligible for up to $1000 in Medicare assistance for dental care. Some of the dental services covered include examinations, X-rays, cleaning, fissure sealing, filings, root canals and extractions. You can find out more about the CDBS and how to apply here.
